Frequently asked questions.

Is there a minimum order quantity?

No. You can order one jar if you like.

How do I store the cakes?

The jars are best stored in the fridge for up to 10 days or can be frozen for up to 1 month. They are pretty tasty eaten either chilled or room temperature, if you dont like them cold then just take them out of the fridge 2 hours before consumption.

Are the cakes suitable for vegetarians?

Yes, all our cakes are vegetarian friendly. Unfortunately we are still working on vegan and gluten free cakes.

Do the cakes contain alcohol?

Our cakes don't have any alcohol in them however sometimes we do a cheeky rum cake around Christmas time! If any of our seasonal cakes to contain alcohol then that information will be clearly displayed in the list of 'ingredients' with an additional warning on the product page.

Can the jars be customised?

The labels on the jars can be customised with either images or text, at an extra charge. You can email your own design to us or we can help you make one with our in-house graphic designer. The dimensions of our circular label is 60mm in diameter and the image should have a resolution of at least 300dpi.

Can I choose the decorations on the jars?

Yes you can choose to have ribbon instead of twine or even add any additional adornments you can think of, the possibilities are endless. Disposable wooden spoons can also be attached to the jars if you are hosting an event and would like one less thing to worry about! These things do come with an additional charge but we love a bargain so will always do our best to keep the costs passed on to you as low as possible.

Can I ask for custom flavours?

Our head baker is no stranger to some bizarre requests so if there is something you fancy that we don't already offer then feel free to drop us a line with your idea, we are always up for a challenge!

How much notice do you require for large orders?

The more the better but we usually require at least 2 weeks notice for large or bespoke orders. We would class a large order as anything over 12 jars however if you are having a last minute crisis please still give us a shout and we will do our best to help you.

What are the payment terms for large orders?

For large or bespoke orders, we require a non refundable 30% deposit of the total amount as soon as we send you an invoice and the balance before delivery.

Why is the cost of postage so high?

£4.45 is the general price of delivery for online shopping these days however if you would only like to order one jar then please email us and we can do a special shipping price of £2.95 and send the package via Royal Mail. You can order up to as many as 12 jars and never pay any more than £4.45 p&p. Orders over this amount are usually bespoke and will require seperate invoicing however we normally try and work in free delivery as a good will gesture for your custom!

Where do you deliver to?

We currently deliver to mainland UK only.

What are your delivery times?

Delivery is made Monday - Friday  and sometimes saturdays too depending on whether your local courier works weekends or not.

What if I'm not at home when delivery is happening?

Due to the size of the package it would be ideal if someone is at home to accept the delivery however if this is not possible then please specify a 'safe place' when you place your order in the 'notes' section. We will then advise the courier of this and if there is no answer they will either attempt to leave the package with a neighbour or your designated 'safe place'.

How long does delivery take?

If ordered on a weekday delivery usually takes between 2-4 working days.

What should I do if the item looks damaged?

You should still accept the delivery from the courier, upon inspection of the goods if there is anything you are unhappy with please inform us as soon as possible so that we can resolve it for you.
